Today’s topic is beach reads! Or you could have chosen to feature your summer TBR list. I tend to not do a summer TBR because I like to give myself the opportunity to make my reading choices in the moment rather than sticking to a schedule this time of year. So I chose beach reads!
When I hear “beach read” my mind immediately jumps to light and fun contemporary romances that I can read a little at a time or in one big binge session. I absolutely love these kinds of books because they give me warm fuzzies and goofy smiles. I’ve selected some older and newer releases, along with new adult/adult titles and YA titles. All of them are wonderful, and books I wholeheartedly recommend.
New Adult/Adult
On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves
Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton & Nina Bocci
I Temporarily Do by Ellie Cahill
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Roomies by Christina Lauren
Young Adult
From What I Remember… by Stacy Kramer & Valerie Thomas
Golden by Jessi Kirby
The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller
Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett
The Summer My Life Began by Shannon Greenland
Starry Eyes is such a fun summer read! Happy reading :)

Oh definitely, it was so adorable!
I’ve heard SO many good things about “The Hating Game,” and since I accidentally got it (and someone else’s!) in a Book Outlet order, I just may have to give it a chance. “Starry Eyes” is also on my shelf to read. Soon-ish. ;)
Contemporary reads are my favorite any time of year. :)

Oh wow, what a score you got from Book Outlet! lol. It’s soooooo sweet, so if you love contemporary I have a feeling you’re going to love it. Starry Eyes was also wonderful, and I hope you get to it soon!
I loved On the Island, The Hating Game and Starry Eyes! Hope you do too! :)
Oh, this list was all beach reads I loved and recommend to anyone, so I’ve read both of them and they’re amazing! Glad you loved them too!
I loved The Hating Game! It’s such a perfect summer read. I ended up doing a summer tbr list, and I included On the Island – this summer is going to be the summer I FINALLY read it. I hope to read Starry Eyes this summer too – I loved Alex, Approximately.
Oh my goodness, I am so excited you’re going to read On the Island this summer! It’s still one of my favorite books, and I read it waaaay back when it was self-published. I hope you love it, too! I loved Starry Eyes even more than Alex, Approximately, so I hope you get to it soon!
Starry Eyes looks SO good, and I love that cover of On The Island- makes me want to be in the Caribbean. :)

I’d love to do a re-read as well! I think I read it about 7 years ago, back when it was a self-published novel. It’s definitely been way too long!
Cute picks!!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I’d like to check out Starry Eyes and Christina Lauren’s books in general. Fun topic! And I love your new blog background.

Fun list! Thank you for hosting, this is one of my favorite posts to write every year.
I’m so glad! The seasonal TBRs are always super popular. :)
These looks fabulous. Anything set on an island makes me think of summer. Enjoy your day.
I’m so excited to do my first Top Ten Tuesday on my blog! I’m not really big on contemporary books but I have a lot of those on my TBR that’s why I was so excited to do this prompt. Have an awesome beach reading season!
Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!! I’m glad you enjoyed this week’s prompt!
Starry Eyes looks really good!
It totally is. I loved it. :)
I haven’t read any of these, but I have heard good things about The Hating Game. I recently read The Summer Sail by Wendy Francis. Three friends and their families on a cruise to celebrate a 20th wedding anniversary. I liked it a lot.

The covers alone on these are so evocative of summer!
I love summer covers. :)
I loved from FROM WHAT I REMEMBER! I read it back in 2012 but it was the perfect summer read.
I’ve seriously never known anyone who read From What I Remember! It’s so underrated, and so much fun!
I recently read The Hating Game and loved it.
I read it about a year ago, and am still thinking about it. :) I think I need to do a re-read soon!
Great choices! These all look so fun and summery.
I just finished The Hating Game and loved it! I’ve heard great things about On the Island, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Although I liked the author’s Heart-Shaped Hack.
Great list! These all look like a lot of fun, I’ll have to check some of them out.

So happy that I found your blog and really like this idea of Top Ten Tuesday posts :) I want to step up my book blogging game and this is a great step by joining.
Starry Eyes for the win! You can’t go wrong with a Jenn Bennett book. She’s the best! The Hating Game was pretty great too. I hope to read Roman Crazy, Roomies, and The Summer I Became a Nerd one of these days. They all have great reviews and look like something I would enjoy.
The Hating Game has been on my radar lately. Sounds cute!
I absolutely love Hating Game. Agh, so much! Roomies was one of those rare books for me that I very actually couldn’t put down. I stayed up reading all night and then mainlined coffee the next day :)

Jane, I decided to do a summer TBR list, as I am taking part in the 10 Books of Summer reading challenge. Some of the books I am hoping to read this summer includes: The House on the Strand by Daphne du Maurier, The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri J. M. Nouwen, Anne Boleyn, A King’s Obsession by Alison Weir and Sourcery by Terry Pratchett. Happy summer reading! :-)
