Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is books featuring travel. I LOVE traveling, and these ten books will take you away on some of the best vacations I could ever dream of!
1. The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler takes you to small town Alaska, where everybody knows your name.
I know I talk about this book a lot. Sorry, not sorry.
2. Christmas At Frozen Falls by Kiley Dunbar takes you to a stunning resort in the even more stunning Lapland for Northern Lights peeping and sled rides.
I also talk about this book a lot. I’m trying to find more favorite books, I swear.
3. The Gem Thief by Sian Ann Bessey takes you on board a luxury cruise liner that’s touring the Mediterranean.
4. Operation White Christmas by Nikki Edwards takes you to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls!
Also, there’s a baby llama. You’re welcome.
5. Love, Lucy by April Lindner takes you to Florence, Italy!
6. Starry Night by Debbie Macomber takes you to the Alaskan wilderness, where you’ll probably fall in love.
7. Sleigh Bells in the Snow by Sarah Morgan takes you to the cozy Snow Crystal Ski Resort, where you’ll also probably fall in love.
8. Gentlemen Prefer Nerds by Joan Kilby takes you on a hunt for a jewel thief in Australia!
9. Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard takes you backpacking in Belize!
10. Just One Day by Gayle Forman whisks you off to Paris for the best sightseeing trip ever.
Do you have any recommendations for books that take place in amazing locations?
Those kinds of books are my favorite, and I can’t ever find enough of them.
Have you read Love and Gelato? I think you have. I really liked the location (Italy) and the role it played in the book.
I have! I love that book and it’s one of my favorites. I wanted to include it, but I talk about the same handful of books so often on here that I wanted to try and include some variety! I’ve also read the companion novels, Love & Luck and Love & Olives. It’s such a wonderful series! Love & Gelato is my favorite of the three, though. :)
I really like armchair adventure novels; and I see some on your list that, someday, I still need to read. :)
One of the most wonderful things about reading, is that it gives us the opportunity to travel wherever we want to go without jumping on a plain or a train. But I do miss jumping on a plain or a train.
The Tourist Attraction, yes – I’ve seen it, but haven’t read it yet!

Love this list! I will definitely need to add some of these to my list – especially the Christmassy ones! For books that take you places I really like Dan Brown. After reading any of his books I immediately want to go there!
I love travelling, what a shame I didn’t think about it myself. But it’s a good idea for a future post.

OOh nice picks! Those are all new to me ones. I know there’s some traveling in some of the books I read, but it’s not always the “good” kind of traveling. Lol!

this is such a great list! I’ve been reading a lot more travel fiction since the pandemic took most of my real travel.
I love books that make me feel like I’m joining in on a trip! I felt that way with Float Plan too.
I just got back from a two-week Europe trip, so I’m in the I-don’t-want-to-travel-anywhere-anytime-soon phase. We are planning a return to U.K. this time next year, though! In the meantime, fictional travel is always fun :)

Wanderlove has been on my list for years. I must get to it.
OOh nice picks! I feel like the large majority of my books are set in fictional places! If they’re real places then it’s merely a backdrop to the plot. Lol. Lots of new to me ones here but don’t worry about reusing titles for different topics! I end up doing the same because the books can fit into so many themes! Lol.

I love armchair traveling! I’ve been to a few of these places IRL (Alaska, Paris, and Niagara Falls), but I’d really love to go to Italy. The history! The food! The scenery! Ahhh…sounds amazing.

One of my favourite topics. I love travelling by books. This is the third time I made a list of travel books and I only repeated one book in the second list from the first (didn’t notice at the time). I am sure when this comes up again, I will have ten completely new ones. :)

Great list! I love it when books show the setting well enough that it can feel like a kind of vacation to a new place.
I misread the assignment but I promise to do better in the future! My favorite travel books are all by Mary Stewart. I love Madam, Will You Talk? so much my mother and I went to Provence to see where the book takes place.
All these books look so delightful.. and I wouldn’t know which one to pick first, maybe the first one on your list..
