Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at the other blog I write for, The Broke and the Bookish.
I love fall! I love when the leaves start to turn, the air gets crisp, and all the books start being released! It’s a really exciting time of year. :) There are so many amazing books I hope to get to this fall, and here are my top ten. :) All but one are ARCs, and I’ve got an ARC of the Diana Peterfreund’s next book, Across a Star-Swept Sea, that comes out next month, so I need to get reading! I’m so excited for them both!
1. Cress by Marissa Meyer
2. Revelations by J.A. Souders
3. Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill
4. For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund
5. Hostage Three by Nick Lane
6. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
7. Lovestruck in London by Rachel Schurig
8. The Boy on the Bridge by Natalie Standiford
9. Alienated by Melissa Landers
10. Perfect Ruin by Lauren DeStefano
Which books are you hoping to “fall” into over the next few months? :)

Shoooot I forgot about Cress!!! Blast
My Top Ten
*gasp* How could you!? :P
Is Cress coming out earlier than I thought it was? If so, woohoo!
It comes out on February 4th. I’ve got an ARC on its way from the publisher, so I’ll get to read it a bit earlier. :)
You should totally start CRESS now! :)
Ooooo, I am so excited! Technically, the ARC is in the mail… but as soon as it gets here I am CLEARING my schedule!
So pumped for Alienated! Adding Hostage Three to my TBR list!
Alienated sounds so exciting! I’m very excited. :)
Hope you like Hostage Three! It sounds crazy good. :)
I am so excited for These Broken Stars! And Perfect Ruin… and Alienated… and Across a Star-Swept Sea… and Cress! All such awesome books on your list, I can’t wait to hear what you think of them all. :D
And I see you’re reading All Our Yesterdays – I just finished that one recently and looooved it, I hope you’re enjoying it too! :)
All Our Yesterdays is SO good so far! I’m about halfway through, and it’s killing me to have to put it down to sleep and eat and work on schoolwork. :P
i think These Broken Stars is a popular choice today! also, whoo for Cress!
First of all, I have to mention how much I love your graphics for this week’s post. They are just too cute, and those leaves really leap off the screen :)
In terms of your choices, I absolutely cannot wait to read Alienated too, although unlike you I’ll have to wait until the new year to get my hands on it when it’s published. No worries, though! Goodness knows I have enough books to keep me busy until then. I do love a good story about aliens, though, particularly when it involves aliens falling in love with humans and vice versa. Roswell, anyone? ;)
Thanks, Jen! It’s so much fun making the TTT graphics. :)
Oh, don’t we always have too many books on our hands to read? Hehe. And the cover of Alienated is so pretty, that I bet I’ll want a finished copy anyway. :) I should really watch Roswell… I love TV shows like that one!
I’d really like to read For Darkness Shows the Stars too, if I get a chance!
Love your graphic, Jana!
My TTT list.
FDStS has been on SO many seasonal lists of mine. I really just need to drop everything and read it.
And thank you! The graphics are my favorite part of TTT. :)
These Broken Stars is one of my absolute favourites of this year so i think you’ll love it! And I am so beyond excited for Cress!
Yay! I am SO glad to hear These Broken Stars is so good! I’m even more excited now!
wow great collection of ARCs!! So jealous. I’m so excited that Cress is being released soon, but I still have to find time to read Scarlet!
Oh. My. Stop your world and read Scarlet! You’ll love it!
I’m looking forward to reading Cress when it comes out. I also have Alienated and These Broken Stars to read. Great choices!
I hope you love them all! :)
Being Sloane Jacobs looks good! I love books about skating for some reason :) Cool list & graphic!
My TTT
That’s why I’m so excited for Being Sloane Jacobs! I love the idea of a skating book, but had no clue there were more. What others have you read and liked?
Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler!
Oh, I have that here on my bookshelf! I had no idea it was ice skatey! Thank you!
OMG, is everybody reading Cress this fall? I haven’t even read Scarlet yet :D
DO IT! Scarlet is amazing. You need to read it ASAP. :D And then you need to tell me what you think of it!
Will put it on my October tbr!
Good! I’m so excited for you! :D
I highly recommend For Darkness Shows the Stars. I really enjoyed it, especially since it’s a retelling of Persuasion. :D
Really excited for These Broken Stars.
Yay! I’m so glad you liked FDStS! I’ve been really excited that it’s a retelling of Persuasion. I need to just drop everything and read it. :)
I can’t wait for Being Sloane Jacobs! I love the idea of that book. Also need to read Scarlett before getting excited about Cress.
Great list.
BSJ sounds like so much fun, and I adored Meant to Be. VERY excited. :)
And HOLY MOLY. Go read Scarlet!! You will love it!
Alienated is high on my list too, love her Sultry series, so I have high hopes for this one!
I need to look into the Sultry series. I’ve never heard of it before.
It’s under her other name, Macy Beckett – adult romance, extra swoony :)
Oh, I love me so adult romance every once in a while. :) Thanks for the recommendation!
These Broken Stars was fantastic! Also, I didn’t add Alienated to my TTT today but I’m really looking forward to that one as well. Aliens and foreign exchange students? It sounds perfect!
I know! Absolutely fantastic. :)
And I am SO glad to hear more hype for These Broken Stars! I can’t wait to read it!
I have Perfect Ruin, These Broken Stars and Alienated in my hot little hands now – can’t wait to read them either!
TTT @ Krista’s Dust Jacket
It’s SO exciting, huh!? Perfect Ruin looks particularly amazing.
Cool list- from the comments it looks like Cress is already out.
Cress actually comes out in February. Quite a few people got ARCs at ALA and BEA, so there’s already a lot of hype for it.
I love your presentation!
I can’t wait to read These Broken Stars!
Thank you! :)
oooh, Cress! I have yet to read Scarlet but I don’t mind bingeing. I love your collage, very creative :)
My Top 10 Fall TBR
Thank you! :)
And seriously, go read Scarlet. :) Although binging would be really fun.
I added a few of these to my TBR list. I have high hopes of making some headway on my list of review books for the rest of this year. I have two on a deadline and the rest can be shared whenever. I’m going on a bit of a blog hiatus next month so I can focus on some personal stuff and get some reading done. I’ll have lots of reviews in 2014, so that’ll freshen up the blog a bit.
My list of review books is insane. I feel like I’m always playing catch up. Hopefully your time off helps you read lots! I think taking a break to build a schedule of reviews is a really nice way to get ahead and calm things down a bit. :)
Exactly. If I can get caught up (or at least feel less like I’m drowning in books), I can start signing up for tours again.
I am so excited for Cress! I can’t believe how much I love The Lunar Chronicles, because I almost always dislike science fiction.
I want to read The Boy on the Bridge, too. I am really excited about the setting. I have a hold request in at the library.
Happy Autumn reading!
Yes, I’m not the biggest scifi fan either, but I really love The Lunar Chronicles. :)
I got The Boy on the Bridge from Netgalley and hope to read it really soon. It sounds absolutely amazing!
A lot of these are on my TBR list as well. Alienated and These Broken Stars made it to my top ten :)
Well, I hope you can get to all of them this fall! :)
I’m really looking forward to Cress. Being Sloane Jacobs looks so good too. Great list!
I love your blog design! So pretty :-) I am really excited about Alienated–the early reviews are really good so far so I have high expectations.
My Friends Are Fiction’s TTT
Oh, thank you! :)
I haven’t seen any early reviews for Alienated! I’m just excited all on my own, but I’m so glad to hear it’s getting great feedback! *runs to look for reviews*
I really liked For Darkness Shows the Stars, I hope you do too! I’m excited about Cress! These Broken Stars is on my list, and I’ve been wanting to read The Boy on the Bridge, but a lot of the others I haven’t heard of. I’m going to have to look at all of them and probably add them all to my TBR!
Hehe. I love helping people find books to put on their TBRs! Makes me feel better for having SO many!
I’m so glad you liked FDStS! I’m really excited about it. :)
First off, I’m also reading and loving All Our Yesterdays! xD
And yes to These Broken Stars. I sooo need to get to Cinder and Scarlet but I feel like I won’t be able to before winter starts. Yes to Perfect Ruin!
It’s AOY AMAZING!?! I’m loving it so much! I’ll have to keep an eye out for your final thoughts on it. :) I’m hoping to finish it tonight or tomorrow.
Bah! Make Cinder and Scarlet a priority ASAP! They are amazing!
Bah. I meant “isn’t”. I got so excited, I majorly typoed!
Ah, I want to read Lovestruck in London! I requested it from Netgalley but got the no go. Ah well. I’ll find it somehow. I had a lot of fun making my list. I know some people went with books they want to read this fall that were published any time but I decided to do all new releases. I ended up with 12…eek! Too many books, not enough time. :)
I hate it when I get denied on Netgalley… I was lucky enough with this one, though. I hope you get to it soon!
And I know what you mean about there being so many books, yet not enough time. It was really hard to nail down only 10. :)
Omg, I love the leaves *collects pretty leaves* And I hope you love Cress! I just finished These Broken Stars and loved it!
My Fall TBR
Hehe. The leaves make me happy too! :)
SO excited for TBS! I’m so glad you loved it!
Oh my gosh your list with the leaves and everything is so adorable! And I cannot wait for Being Sloane Jacobs! I am obsessed with Lauren Morrill’s Meant To Be so I have high expectations for her next one! And I’m really looking forward to Alienated as well!
My TTT
I lovedlovedLOVED Cress, For Darkness Showed the Stars and Being Sloane Jacobs. Everything else sounds similarly amazing. Looks like you have an AWESOME fall ahead of you! Happy reading!
EEK! Such good books! I really want to read Cress (still need to read Scarlett though!), For Darkness Shows the Stars and These Broken Stars, they all look amazing! :D
Kyra @ Blog of a Bookaholic
My TTT Post!
Cress sounds great. Alienated almost made mine! Great list
Here were my Top Ten from this past week.
Hmm, I’ve never heard of any of these books, but they all have BEAUTIFUL covers! Thank you for posting about them!
