As we turn the page on a new year, I’m sitting here in the warm and cozy light of my Christmas tree reflecting on everything that happened to me in 2025. It was hard and it was painful, but it was also amazing and hopeful. I had some health setbacks, but also got some answers. Current events have distressed and even traumatized me, but I’ve also seen the goodness and resilience of people. I’m very much aware that I am so, so blessed. I’ve laughed a lot and had many good days. My mom and my sister continue to be my biggest support system and best friends. Not once did I have to worry about where my next meal would come from or where I would sleep. I’m grateful for what I have, and for the good that came to me this past year. I’m resolving to work harder on taking care of myself and deepening my relationships with those I love. 2025 gave me a lot of what I need, even though it was difficult, and I’m walking into 2026 with a clear mind and an optimistic heart.
Wishing you and those you love health, happiness, and hope for 2026.
And, of course, lots of amazing books that keep you up all night!

Happy new year to you too Jana, thank you for all your blog posts in 2025.

Thank you, Lydia! I hope the same for you. :)
Happy New Year! I also got health answers and will be revamping some eating things, and cutting out more food intolerance, but hopefully that will be helpful in the long run. I hope you are able to have a better health year, and a wonderful bookish year!
Thank you, Cindy! I hope 2026 brings you closer to feeling your best! Getting health answers is so empowering, isn’t it?
Jana, for sure! It has been a journey for years.
Happy New Year, Jana. I know where you come from. Some days seem so hard but we only have to remind ourselves how well off we are, then it gets a little better.
Have a great 2026.
Thank you, Marianne. :) I hope you have more good days than hard days this year!
