Top Ten Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers

Posted March 9, 2026 by Jana in Top Ten Tuesday / 17 Comments

Welcome to another TTT! Thanks so much for all of your well wishes last week when I was sick. I’m feeling much better now! This week’s topic was submitted by Joanne @ Portobello Book Blog and is: Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers. Ordinal numbers are numbers that define an item’s place in a series. For example: first, second, third, fourth, tenth, fourteenth, thirty-third, one hundredth, etc. I’m picking a mix of books I’ve read (I put asterisks by those) and books from my TBR, and I’m going in numerical order!

First to Fall by Jenny B. Jones*
First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison
A Season for Second Chances by Jenny Bayliss
Third to Die by Allison Brennan
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros*
Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan*
The Sixth Day by Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison
The Tenth Trail Mark by Joe Looby (my grandpa was in the 10th mountain division in WW2)
Married by Twelfth Night by Anneka R. Walker
My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris

What’s your favorite number?
Read any of these?
Was this a tricky topic for you?

  1. I thought this would be difficult, but then going through my read books I found more than I thought! I guess it helps that centuries are often ordinal numbers.

  2. Oh I think I made this topic harder for myself than it needed to be! Lol. I was thinking “ordinal” as its place in the series, like Three Strikes, was the third book of its series…yeah I definitely made this topic harder on myself! Lol

Nice picks though, I am realizing I could’ve made this a lot easier on myself! Lol.

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!
