Five Book Series I Want to Catch Up On & Five Book Series I Want to Start

Posted August 17, 2026 by Jana in Top Ten Tuesday / 39 Comments

Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is: Top Ten Book Series I Want to Catch Up On. You can also choose to do series you’d like to start. I’ve decided to do five of each! I love a good series, but I love it more when all the books have been released already. lol. Back when I read YA exclusively, almost every book I read was part of a series and reading all of them in the correct order was essential or you’d be lost. Luckily it’s not that way as much with adult romance, which is what I predominately read now. If books are part of a series, it’s frequently a series of interconnected standalones or books set in the same world with nothing else tying the books together. I like that kind of series. lol. Less re-reading is required. Anyway, here we go!

Five Series I’d Like to Catch Up On (or Finish)

Holidays with Hart by Courtney Walsh
(I have been saving My Merry Mistake this holiday season)

The Four Winds by Alexandria Warwick
(I’ve only read The North Wind)

Sheppards in Love by Martha Keyes
(I’ve read the first two.)

The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen
(I’ve read the first four.)

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
(I need to read A Court of Silver Flames in time for #6 and #7 coming out in the next several months!)

Five Series I’d Like to Start

Dangerous Damsels by India Holton

The Floating Shop by Annabel French

The Crinoline Academy by Mimi Matthews

The Charmed Leaf Legacy by Rachel Morgan

Rewitched by Lucy Jane Wood

Have you read any of these series? Did you like them?
Any I should prioritize?

Any you need to catch up on as well?
What series is at the top of your list to either start or catch up on?

NOTE: If you try to submit your link and get a message that you’ve been blocked, please know you’ve done nothing wrong. I haven’t blocked you. InLinkz is malfunctioning and saying everyone is blocked (including me, their paying customer!). I have written to them and hope they roll out a fix quickly! If you can’t submit your link, please comment with your link below and I will add it to the Linky when things are working again.

This issue has now been resolved. If you’re still having trouble, please comment
with your link and let me know things aren’t working so I can get back with InLinkz!

  1. I love series books, so I was happy to see this topic this week. I used to collect an entire series before starting the series, but then books kept coming out and some of the series never seem to have an ending. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing :) The Annabel French series is one I’ve been eyeing. It looks so good. Thanks for hosting!

  2. Enjoy, I haven’t read any of these, I can be a bit hesitant when it comes to starting a series but foundy claim of “I don’t read series’s” to be absolute rubbish when putting this list together 🤣🤣🤣

  3. These look good. I used to like series when I was younger as it was less hassle to find a new book to read. Now I read mainly standalone. My memory has gone since having the kids so it’s probably for the best 😂

I didn’t realise ACOTAR had titles. I’m looking forward to reading them at some point! I’ve read Rewitched and have been approved to read Disenchanted, but haven’t read Uncharmed.

    Have a great week!

I haven’t read any of these but the Lucy Jane Wood books appeal. Such gorgeous covers!

  5. I feel you on Silver Flames. It’s on my list this week as well. Absolutely need to get to that before October. Although I didn’t put it on my list, I also have been eyeballing The Floating Shop books too! The Holidays with Hart books as well as the Rewitched books definitely seem like something that would pique my interest. Might have to go add those to my TBR now. LOL.

  6. Ohh nice! I do love an interconnected series! I’ve read a few that went that route. Even when you returned to a previously seen character you got enough of a recap so to speak to know what was going on in the current story! I still need to get back to the Bridge Kingdom series. I read the first two books myself. I’m actually caught up in the ACOTAR series (shockingly! lol) but I need to read the last Crescent City book as I heard there’s crossovers with all the series now!

    Here’s my TTT

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. The Four Winds series has some of the prettiest covers I’ve ever seen. I like how you showed all of the books in the series. I just showed the books I’d read.

  8. Great picks! The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen and The Crinoline Academy by Mimi Matthews are both on my TBR to start as well, and Rewitched by Lucy Jane Wood looks adorable—I’ll definitely have to check it out.

Hi Emma! Unfortunately, the service I pay to use for my link-up tools is malfunctioning and I’m super upset that this has happened. The site is telling me I’ve been blocked, too. I’ve written to them to see what’s going on and hopefully they roll out a fix quickly. I’m so sorry!

Update! I heard back from InLinkz. They were cyber attacked and their web developer deployed some commands that were a bit too intense and blocked a ton of IP addresses by accident. I added your link to the Linky and all should be working now!

      • Yay! I am so glad to hear this. Thank you for checking into it. I don’t realize how much I look forward to my book world and book friends until you are blocked, lol.

  9. I also prefer it when all the books in the series have been released already. It’s so hard to get back into the series when there’d been years in between. Sometimes I can’t help it though, because of the hype! I have such bad FOMO!

I got the “you’ve been blocked” page today, too! I’m super irritated because I’m paying for this service! I’ve written to them to see what’s going on and hopefully they roll out a fix quickly. I’m so sorry!

Oh wow sucks they got cyber attacked but wild that it also blocked you too! Thanks so much for looking into it and glad it’s resolved quickly. Thanks for adding my link in there, I was out of the house today so I really appreciate it 🥰 Also, Dangerous Damsels and Rewitched are series that have caught my attention too, I hope you love them :D

  10. Good list. I’m pretty sure I either have the Floating Flower Shop on Kindle or got in on audio from the library but had to return it before I got to it. I should try it again since I didn’t even start it.

  11. Hey Jana! I was wondering if you knew why my link is blocked? I have been joining in on your page for a long time and this has never happened. I tried to link my top ten tuesday post and it says blocked and to contact the website owner. So weird. Any ideas? I’m bummed! Here is my link for my top ten Tuesday post

I am not a very techy person as it is, lol so I can’t figure this out. Hopefully it is a glitch that will resolve itself because I’d be sad if I can’t post anymore!!!

    • Jana

Hi Shellie! You’ve done nothing wrong! Unfortunately, the link-up service I pay for is malfunctioning. I am super, super irritated that this has happened. Inlinkz is telling me I’ve been blocked, too. I’ve written to them to see what’s going on and hopefully they roll out a fix quickly. I’m so sorry!

      • Please, no worries….it isn’t your fault. It’s technology! Thanks for checking into it. I love being a part of your blog and reading all the things!!

  12. I’ve kept meaning to try the ACOTAR books! I feel like I see people talking about them *everywhere*, so I’m increasingly curious to find out what I’m missing. I think at this point I need to stop saying “I’ll get around to it” and actually read the first one!

  13. I am finally up to date on ACOTAR. I did this mostly because of the upcoming release of the two new books. I want to re read GOT and I need to finish Outlander. I would like to start Onyx Storm soon too,

  14. I had that issue with Inlinkz yesterday, but it appears to be working fine today. Yay!

You’re smart to only start series that have already been finished. I’m in the middle of too many ongoing ones, and it’s easy to forget what’s what and who’s who between installments. I sometimes have to go back and reread the last installment to remember.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Yeah, it was pretty frustrating! InLinkz had another problem a few months ago and wasn’t working properly then either. It’s super irritating when that happens, as people really love being able to submit their links. I’m looking into MrLinky. Honestly, I thought it didn’t exist anymore! lol. I’ll see if the coding is compatible with WordPress and nice and secure. Hopefully they’ve continued updating it, and it’s not just a relic that still works but isn’t optimized anymore!
