Welcome to another TTT! Halloween is this Saturday, so today’s topic is a Halloween Freebie! Pick any Halloween-themed topic your heat desires. I love aspects of Halloween, including atmospheric reads, candy, pumpkins, black cats, and cute kids in costumes. Super scary is not for me, so I’ve chosen to share my favorite Halloween books from when I was a kid!

1. Popcorn by Frank Asch
2. Trick or Treat, Little Critter by Gina Mayer and Mercer Mayer
3. The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams
4. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown by Charles M. Schulz and Kara McMahon (Adapter)
5. The Berenstain Bears Trick or Treat by Stan Berenstain and Jan Berenstain

6. Clifford’s Halloween by Norman Bridwell
7. Franklin’s Halloween by Paulette Bourgeois
8. Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman
9. Clifford’s First Halloween by Norman Bridwell (I really loved Clifford!)
10. Sherlock Chick and the Case of the Night Noises by Robert M. Quackenbush (This is not Halloween-themed, but it was spooky for little Jana!)
Did anyone else grow up in the late 80’s and the 90’s like I did, and read any of these? It was so much fun strolling down memory lane and coming up with this list today.
I hope you have a safe and happy Halloween this weekend!

I loved so many of these growing up. Clifford, Charlie Brown, and the Berenstain Bears are my favorites. Thanks for making me smile.
I love Halloween too! I was born in 1990 so I’m a 90s kid. Halloween wasn’t really a big thing here in the UK. We have always had some sort of party, but there wasn’t much in the shops and the house wasn’t ever decorated. Trick or Treating was a thing but I have never personally done it.
In the last few years Halloween has been getting bigger. There are more and more things in the shops these days so my kids will be surrounded by it more than I was (especially as I am very enthusiastic about it). Like you though I don’t do scary so everything will be tame. My 3 year old got scared by a big skeleton decoration in a shop the other day so we have to be careful 🤣
Have a great Halloween!
Ooh fun topic! Great picks too! I definitely remember the Berenstain Bears one! I vaguely remember Franklin, Clifford, and the Critters ones. Something about The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything sounds familiar but there have been a lot of books over the years including childhood! Lol.
Here’s my TTT
Have a GREAT day!
