Great collection. I’m loving all the lists I have spotted ‘Anna’ on; that’s the perfect story to add to this week’s prompt. Also, I’m curious about ‘Wish You Were Italian.’ It looks darling. :)
OH MY GOODNESS, Wish You Were Italian is adorable! It’s probably in my top 5 all-time favorite books list. :) I so recommend it!

I have Anna and the French Kiss on my list too (So far every post I’ve seen today has added this book)! :D
Oh I need to read Starry Nights if it’s set in France! I LOVE FRANCE. It’s like my ultimate goal to go there someday ahhhh. And Anna and the French Kiss is amazing. <3 I love all the places they saw and the food, omg the delicious French food.

I’ve been reading Da Vinci’s Tiger by L.M. Elliot, and I keep thinking of you my fellow art history / Italy / YA lover. Have you read it? It’s historical fiction, set during the Italian Renaissance and all the art she weaves into the story is real. Plus, she does a great job with the festivals, clothing, and courtly traditions of Florence. Reading about a topic you know well can go one of two ways it seems, and this one definitely goes in the right direction. Let me know if you’ve read it!
Hi JoLee! I haven’t read this book yet, but it’s on my list to read it soon! I’ve been SO excited about it!! I’m so glad to know it has your stamp of approval because I was worried the art history might go in the wrong direction. I’m even more excited now. :) Thanks for thanking of me! Please let me know if you have more recommendations for books with art history undertones. Starry Night by Daisy Whitney, which I mentioned here, takes place predominately at the Orsay in Paris. There’s a TON of art history in that one too (a guy falls in love with a girl in a Renoir painting). She comes to life at night and their dates take place in other paintings in the museum. They spend time floating on a boat in Van Gogh’s Starry Night, they dance in another, they watch Swan Lake performed by Degas’s dancers, they spend an afternoon on the bridge in Monet’s garden. It’s magical, and adorable. Have you read it already? I think you’d really like it!
Starry Nights does sound fun. My sister read it and liked it a lot. Did you read Isla and the Happily Ever After? That one had a lot of art in it too. I hope you like Da Vinci’s Tiger. The more I think about it the more impressed I am with her research (but it is not an action-packed book at all). I hope I’m not elevating your expectations too high. :)
