Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at the other blog I write for, The Broke and the Bookish.
I love historical romance, and I’ve never really given myself the opportunity to share some of my favorites, to today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic was the perfect one for me. I’m not super well read in this genre, but I’m getting there and I’ve found some really great books in the process! I read some of these as a teenager and some as an adult, and I love all of them!

A Week to Be Wicked by Tessa Dare
Say Yes to the Marquess by Tessa Dare
What I Did for a Duke by Julie Anne Long
Honor Bound by Brenda Novak
A Dance Through Time by Lynn Kurland

By Love or By Sea by Rachel Rager
The Charm School by Susan Wiggs
Catherine and the Pirate by Karen Hawkins
Tess and the Highlander by May McGoldrick
Gwyneth and the Thief by Margaret Moore
So, do you have any recommendations for me?
Which historical romance novels do you love?

Oh I love love love Tessa Dare! A Week to Be Wicked is my favorite of hers, but so many I LOVE! I wasn’t a fan of What I Did for a Duke. I know so many love it, but it really annoys me.
I have many favorite historical romance authors. I love Julie Garwood SO MUCH, and Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas.
I love Tessa Dare too, and I pushed AWtbW up on my tbr because I know you love it so much! I also like Julie Garwood (I think I’ve only read a contemporary of hers, though), and I need to read books from both Quinn and Kleypas. Which of theirs do you like the best?
I love those last three! I wish they had continued that series.
I wish they had too! I loved the entire series, and even own all 12 of them in paperback. I can’t believe they went out of print! They are such sweet stories. Which one was your favorite?
I LOVE Anna and the Duke! Tess and the Highlander and Gwyneth and the Thief are both good. I’ve read all of them but it’s been several years. I own those three and I’ve been looking on amazon for the others.
I think Catherine and the Pirate is my favorite. I read it when I was in high school, and it ignited my love of high seas romances. :) I hope you find the rest of the series! I think I need to do a re-read soon. :)
Nice list! :)
Hmm you’ve probably read Outlander?
Thank you!
I actually haven’t read Outlander. lol. I’ve been warned by several friends that it might be a bit too graphic for me.
