Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at the other blog I write for, The Broke and the Bookish.
I can’t believe Christmas is next Monday! This holiday season always flies a little too quickly for me, but I’m also excited because I know Santa is going to bring me all the bright, shiny books! Consider this my letter to Santa. I hope to find all of these in my stocking this year. :)
1. Every Breath You Take by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke
I’ve always been an MHC fan, and I really like this Under Suspicion series she wrote with Alafair.
2. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
I LOVE this book, and I really want a physical copy for my bookshelf.
3. I Temporarily Do by Ellie Cahill
I love fauxmances, and this one sounds so fun!
4. Mary Poppins 80th Anniversary Collection by P.L. Travers
I’ve always wanted to read the Mary Poppins books, and this collection is so pretty!
5. The Ends of the World by Maggie Hall
I haven’t read book #2 yet, but I loved The Conspiracy of Us and am excited to see how this series ends!
6. Little Monsters by Kara Thomas
I asked Twitter for a bunch of mystery recommendations a few months ago, and this one is loved by so many that I really want to read it!
7. Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson (pre-order)
IT’S MARY PEARSON.
8. A Dance of Silver and Shadow by Melanie Cellier
It’s a retelling of The Twelve Dancing Princesses! The entire series sounds great. The second book is a Beauty and the Beast retelling that I really want as well.
9. About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis
The Heartbreaker Bay series is tons of fun!
10. In Safe Hands by Katie Ruggle
Katie Ruggle is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors, and I love this Search and Rescue series!

I haven’t read any of these books, but I’m very curious about any book by Mary E. Pearson because I’ve heard great things about them!
I love Mary’s Kiss of Deception! Dance of Thieves takes place in the same universe, and I’m really excited. :)
Little Monsters by Kara Thomas is SO good! I loved it!
I really can’t wait to read it! I haven’t found anyone who doesn’t love it. :)
I haven’t heard of any of these books. It would be fun to read the Mary Poppins books, though. I had no idea there was more than one of them.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!
There’s actually 8 of them! I had no idea until I became interested in reading the first. :)
Great list! I’ve never read the Mary Poppins books, but is pretty new editions are being released I might have to. Merry Christmas!
Thanks! I’m excited to get my hands on the Mary Poppins books because I love the Disney movie and the Broadway show so much. I will admit, though, that the pretty edition made me bump them up my TBR. Hehe.
Great list! I’ve heard good things about Little Monsters. And getting anniversary editions always are so much fun.
Thanks! I do love special anniversary editions. :)
Hope you get all your wishes. I’ve heard only great things about The Hating Game!
Thank you! YES, I love The Hating Game so much! I recommend it wholeheartedly. :)
I’m excited for Dance of Thieves too!!! I go back and forth on her books, but usually, I love them so much!
Hope Santa brings all the books on your list
Thank you! Yes, I tend to go back and forth on Mary’s books as well but I’m usually a fan. :)
I want to read the original Mary Poppins, too, since I’m only familiar with the Disney version. I hope Santa brings you a good book haul!
Thank you!
Yes, I’m only familiar with the Disney and Broadway editions so I’m excited to read the original books. :)
I haven’t read any of these books but I heard a lot about The Hating Game. I loved your Santa graphic :) I hope you get your wish :)

Hope you get the books you want!
Thank you!
:)
I see SO MANY beautiful things on this list! I would honestly die to get any of these for Christmas! The Hating Game was SOO good, and I cannot wait to rea Little Monsters. That one’s apparently the YA thriller we have been waiting for!!! <3

Oh my goodness, YES to The Hating Game! I love it so much!
And yay Little Monsters! I love YA thrillers, but it takes some effort to find the really good ones. I can’t wait for this one!
I love the Mary Poppins books and that edition looks pretty. Hope you enjoy reading them one day.
Thank you! I hope I get to read them sooner, rather than later. :)
Great book list. I heard a lot about Little Monsters as well. Happy Holidays.
Thank you! Happy holidays to you as well. :)
I haven’t read any of these books but i’ll check them out. About That Kiss sounds great. Been wanting to try the author. Thanks for sharing. 😁❤️
Jill Shalvis is really great. I’ve only ever read her Christmas novels and novellas, but I’m excited to venture outside of her holiday books! I feel like I own a million of her contemporary romances and just haven’t had time to read them yet!
Santa already has my books ready to stuff the stocking — Portrait of Vengeance by Carrie Stuart Parks, and Turtles All The Way Down by John Green.
Oooo, I hope you enjoy them both! I’ve heard good things about the new John Green. :) The title is super intriguing.
Oh, I really enjoyed Little Monsters so I hope you get a copy for Christmas. Her debut, The Darkest Corners, is my favorite but LM is still a goodie!
-Lauren
I completely forgot that I own a copy of The Darkest Corners! I need to read that ASAP! I’m really in the mood for a good thriller. :)
My husband asked me about my wishlist a couple of weeks ago: “Is your list up to date because it’s just a bunch of books.” I told him yes–he’s a non-reader though I’ve tried to convert him and failed. I laugh at this now and hope I open books this year. I have Dear Martin, THUG, and preorders of Legendary and Daughter of A Siren Queen to name a few on my long list.
I’m not sure I’ve read the Mary Poppins books in a long time, but I loved them when I was 8!
