Top Ten Romantic Things Book Characters Have Said

Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is “favorite ‘awwww’ moments in books”. Interpret this however you’d like. Can you think of times in books when characters have said/done something sweet, gone through a touching experience, had something work out just right in their life, gotten a cute new pet, had a baby, or been touched by something someone else did for them? To me, this topic means romantic, swoony moments between characters. I love those declarations of love and devotion, so today I’ve chosen to share some of the swooniest, most romantic, most lovey dovey things that book characters have said to each other.

(This is a recycled list that I wrote up 4 years ago for a TTT Valentine’s Day freebie. Yesterday was pairing day for Broke & Bookish Secret Santa, which means I spent hours matching people up and emailing out assignments. My brain was just too worn out to write up a list today!)

    Not going to lie, Jana. I struggled with this topic because I’m an old bitter spinster LOL

    I do like the quotes you’ve chosen though. Very sweet.

    Nice quotes! Ah, romance – I don’t read as much romance as I used to – mine are usually mixed in with a bit of mystery/thriller/suspense. However, I used to love Julie Garwood’s historical romances. The Secret is my favorite.

    I’m not a huge fan of romance, so I often don’t really notice these type of quotes – but I do really love the ones from Leigh Bardugo!

    oh I love book quotes. these sounds like poetry, silly poetry but sweet though. the only book I have read on the list is #10. #6 is very sweet. good list.

    I haven’t read any of these books, but some of these quotes are really nice. My favorite is #1. I’m a sucker for anything even remotely music-related.

    You shared some really lovely quotes :) I recently read Beach Read and really liked the qoute “You know that feeling, when you’re watching someone sleep and you feel overwhelmed with joy that they exist?” because I totally know that feeling and it was really nice to see it put into words!
