Top Ten Tuesday Link-up – September 16, 2020

Welcome to another TTT! I have wracked by brain for this week’s topic, “top ten characters I’d name a pet after” and I am sucking at it. Maybe it’s because I read predominately contemporary and thriller novels so everyone has non-pet names? I love old person names for animals, like Fred or Otto or Violet or Millie and my books are not filled with names like those. It’s not super fun when I come up with a topic that’s too hard for me, but then I think that sometimes my topics are too hard for you and you just skip them and come back the following week for a new topic! So then I thought… hey. I can do that, too, sometimes. And that’s ok! If I feel inspired I’ll come back and edit this post, but I’m not sure I will. lol.

What kinds of names do you like for pets? Food? Book/movie/fandom based?
What names did you pick for your pet(s)? How did you come up with that name?
If you don’t have a pet, but hope to someday… have you ever thought of what you’d name them?

  1. Hallo, Hallo everyone,

As I regularly name my pets after my favouriute stories and characters, but do not disclose which names/origins I name them online I decided to feature a guest author today wherein I created a Top Ten List of secrets behind her latest Historical Fiction release. This is the third entry I’ve undertaken this Autumn to give authors a chance to respond to a guest topic idea of mine and run them during Top Ten Tuesday. I know others are focusing on Sci Fi Month topics but I’m still finishing my first reviews for the event. Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday!

  2. Aww, I think it is okay that sometimes you find the topics hard and need to skip one now and again! I absolutely loved this week’s topic and focused in on characters I would name a cat after, as I am the proud owner of a beautiful black cat called Bonnie. We didn’t have a choice in her name as she came from a rescue centre, but it was fun to think of literary names we could have called her or maybe future cats we might have. 😺
