December has arrived, and That Artsy Reader Girl has donned her Santa hat in celebration of the most wonderful time of the year! I’m SO excited that it’s officially Christmas time! You know how much I love this time of year. We put up our Christmas tree this past weekend, and I’m going to start baking cookies as soon as I finish up these last few things for the semester’s end. I’m up to my eyeballs in fun Christmas reads, and I just bought a bunch of new movies! I’m going to have SO much fun, and I hope you’ll sit and stay a while!

Hooray! I haven’t had time to read any holiday books this year, but I’ve been watching plenty of holiday movies (thank you, Hallmark Channel!). I’ll be looking for good recs to read leading up to next December for sure.
Hallmark has some really cute movies this year. I particularly loved The Nine Lives of Christmas. :) ADORABLE.

I haven’t watched Northpole yet, but it’s sitting on my DVR waiting for me to. I just need to find the time! It looks really cute, though, so I’m glad to know you liked it!
It was. Let It Snow (with Candace Cameron, of Full House fame) was also really cute. I’m pushing myself to finish my school work this week so that I can lie around on Saturday and watch Christmas movies. A Royal Christmas with Lacey Chabert was fun, too. It felt like the Christmas version of The Princess Diaries.
I’ve got Let It Snow recorded as well, and I thought A Royal Christmas was very cute! I also felt like it was similar to The Princess Diaries. Cookie Cutter Christmas is another cute one, but it made me want cookies!
Yes! I still have pumpkin muffin and cupcake mix in my pantry, but I should do some holiday baking for Christmas.
I just watched Nine Lives tonight and it was so adorable! I loved it. I read the book last year I think and it was cute too.

I read Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares this month. It was okay, but definitely not the greatest Christmas book I’ve read. Earlier this year, I read an ARC of My True Love Gave to Me. I’d recommend that to anyone because there are so many stories that someone is bound to like one of them. Oh, and Landline by Rainbow Rowell is a pretty good Christmas book. I might re-read it this month.
