Happy TTT! This week’s topic was harder for me than I thought it would be, just because I read books by a LOT of authors, and many of those authors that I love (s0 far) only have 1-2 books out right now. I feel like an author has to have been around for a while and have multiple books out in order to be an auto-buy author for me. For example, I’m thinking of this one author and I love her a lot but she’s released two books in two years, with no more announced right now. I know I’ll buy it, but it’s hard to put her into this category since she is so new and has so few books. So I’m sticking with the authors I’ve been reading for YEARS and have proven how wonderful they are to me!
Tessa Dare
Christina Lauren
Tracey Garvis-Graves
Mary Higgins-Clark
Jill Shalvis
Riley Sager
Jenn Bennett
Kate Avery Ellison
Sarah J. Maas
Sarah Morgan
Which authors are auto-buy authors for you?

Just picked up my first Christina Lauren novel (caved to all the hype :D), and am hopeful it will be entertaining. :)

There are several on this list that I enjoy reading, yet none of them made my top ten. I needed a top 50 to include all the authors who I read regularly.

I’ve only read one Sarah J. Maas book – I really need to read more!
My TTT post!
OOh nice list! Some new to me authors here.
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Great list! I’ve seen Jenn Bennett on a few lists this week – I’m hoping to finally give her a try this year with The Lady Rogue, which sounds right up my street. :)

Christina Lauren is on my list too! I just bought a Sarah J Maas book for prime day.
I haven’t been reading your blog long enough to guess more than 2, but I knew Christina Lauren and Tracey Garvis-Graves would be on it! The former is definitely reliable, and the latter is someone I could have put on my list if I hadn’t already eyeballed “Covet” long and hard and decided that it was Not For Me.

Sarah J. Maas is the only one we both share. There are a few on your list though that I’d like to read at some point.
I agree, I’m more likely to mark an author as auto-buy if they’ve got more works to their name and I therefore have confidence in their ability — not only to craft a story, but also to maintain a series. On the other hand, I also won’t auto-buy everything by even my favorite authors. One of my favs, for example, does both urban fantasy (auto-buy) and thriller (skip).
I’m not sure if I’ve read anything by the authors on your list, but I’ve heard great things about some of them!

I really should read Some of Tessa Dare’s books sometime.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I love Kate Avery Ellison! She’s one of my favorite indie authors!

I didn’t participate this week, but among my list would be Michael Ondaatje, Maggie O’Farrell, Rachel Joyce, Patrick Gale, Anne Tyler, Greer Macallister, Ariel Lawhon and Heather Webb. Plus, after reading her debut book “The Last List of Miss Judith Kratt” I’ll be on the lookout for Andrea Bobotis’ next book for SURE!
I hope you’ll participate next week!
Right now, Tuesdays are my day to post my alternative author interviews, that I call the Countdown Questions. Since I only post on my blog twice a week (Fridays or Saturdays are for either my book reviews or the #6Degrees meme), I’m not sure when I’ll participate in these again. But if a topic comes up that really piques my interest, I might put my interviews on hold. I do like to look through the answers, though!
Mary Higgins-Clark is a good choice. She’s written so many great books.

Tessa Dare is close to being on my list. I read almost all of her books, but I only buy the ones I love and will read more than once. These days, that’s true of a lot of authors I used to auto-buy. I’ve cut back on buying physical books (I’m running out of room!) and I’m using my library more as well.
