Top Ten Books Guaranteed to Put a Smile On Your Face

Posted September 6, 2021 by Jana in Top Ten Tuesday / 16 Comments

Welcome to another TTT! I wanted to thank those of you who wished me a good recovery last week! I’m ahead of the curve on my healing and the doctor is super happy about that. I’m having my next surgery next week and hope things go just as well.

This week’s topic is books guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Some of these books are funny, some are sweet, and some make me feel nostalgic. I’m excited to see what you picked!

1. The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
This one is so funny and sweet!

2. Call Me Maybe by Cara Bastone
The audiobook of this title is so flirty and happy, and I love the narrators! I re-listened to this during the first couple days of my recovery when I couldn’t see and it made me smile so much.

3. You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle
The shenanigans in this book had me laughing!

4. Fluffy by Julia Kent
Again. Hilarious. The two love interests meet when the heroine accidentally finds herself working on a porn set.

5. Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt
Heidi reminds me of myself, and I giggled so much.

6. The One Night Stand Before Christmas by Jana Aston
I loved this festive audiobook! Christmas is my thing, in case you didn’t know.

7. Birthday Suit by Lauren Blakely
This audio is done by a full cast, and was so much fun!

8. The Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare
A heroine who loves animals and a snooty, but secretly sweet, hero who ends up begrudgingly (but secretly loving) helping her take care of them all!

9. Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett
This is just such a sweet YA contemporary romance that gave me the fuzzies.

10. Merry Christmas, Amelia Bedelia! by Peggy Parish
I had to include one of my favorite books from my childhood! Amelia Bedelia always gets into hilarious messes and I re-read this every December.

  1. I don’t think I’ve read Jen’s Starry Eyes though I did read a couple of her other books. :) Always love a good romance that puts a smile on its reader’s face. Glad you’re recovering, Jana. :)

  2. Nice topic. I think we all need something to smile at the moment.

I remember Amelia Bedelia from the time my boys were in school, we sold those in our book fayre. Didn’t know about the Christmas edition.

    Happy Reading!

  3. If the pandemic has taught me one thing, it is the value of a good laugh or smile. Anything that can make me feel good through all the darkness of the world has been welcome.
