Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is a love freebie in honor of Valentine’s Day, so let your imagination run wild and come up with your own topic centered on the theme of love! I decided to move away from books today and share my favorite rom com movies of all time. These are comfort movies for me, and make me very happy!

1. The Holiday
2. Leap Year
3. Letters to Juliet
4. When In Rome
5. Music & Lyrics
6. Legally Blonde
7. The Proposal
8. Father of the Bride
9. Just Go With It
10. It Was Always You
What are some of your favorite romantic movies?
Any fun Valentine’s Day plans?

I didn’t grow up in a household with parents who liked rom-coms, so I didn’t watch them as a kid or teen, and now, even though I’m 29, I feel like I missed so many good ones that I should go back and catch up on! I haven’t seen any of these except The Proposal (which I loved), so I’m going to add these all to my Letterboxd watchlist! :D
Jana, I see so many favorites here! Love The Proposal and Leap Year (I cannot believe someone else enjoys this one; everyone I see on Titter seems to despise it). Fun list! :)
Letters to Juliet made my list. Music and Lyrics is up there for me , but I didn’t add it as so many great ones to choose from and went with ones I have seen over and over and over again. If I could make it a Top 15 – The Holiday, Music and Lyrics, Maid in Manhattan, How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days and The Ugly Truth would have been honorable mentions for me as I love my Chick Flick Movies.
I love Leap Year so much! I also adore Matthew Goode. I also love The Proposal and When in Rome. You have some great movies on your list.
I always struggle with these lovey dovey titles because I don’t read those kind of books but I found some that work. Should have thought of your idea, movies. I have watched five of yours (1 and 5 to 8) and surely would have come up with some others. LOL. Hmmm, maybe next time. Thanks for that!
I Love The Proposal!! And Also Father of The Bride, Just Go With it & The Holiday.! Here’s a few more, Crazy Stupid Love & Something Borrowed!! Happy February!💗
Father of the Bride is the only film on this list I’ve seen. It was good! :)
So many of my favourite films on this list!! I only watch The Holiday at Christmas though (not that I got to see it this year!).
Happy TTT!
Cute topic! Haven’t seen a lot of these but Legally Blonde was a fave for awhile!
Here’s my Tuesday Posts
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I’ve seen 4 of these. My mom loves rom coms so I watched a lot of them growing up. I.’m a bit older than you though. My favorite is Sleeplss in Seattle.
Gah I love the Holiday!!
Great list, Jana. Father of the Bride was so funny. It Was Always You seems good as well. Thanks for sharing.
Fun list. Like with Cheaper by the Dozen, I love both the original and the remake of Father of the Bride. Good, fun, movies.
Great idea! I was stuck, didn’t know what to do, so didn’t participate this week :-(
Rom-coms are so fun! Notting Hill is one of my favorites, though I’m also a sucker for a good Austen adaptation.
Legally Blonde is one of my very favorite movies of all time. 💖💖💖💖💖
The Holiday, Leap Year and Legally Blonde are some of my all-time favorites :)
I love this! I have not heard of some of these, thanks for sharing!
Yes!! Love The Holiday, but also Music and Lyrics is very much an expert-tier Rom Com, and one of my favorites to recommend to friends.
You have good taste in movies, I must say. I loved Music and Lyrics so much that I bought the soundtrack after I left the movie theater because it makes me so happy!
I’ve only seen one of these—Father of the Bride. Such a great movie! I love Steve Martin.
Happy TTT!

Oh, me too! He’s so funny!
Such fun movie choices! They made me smile
Great twist Jana. I have watched and loved many of these movies.
Oh I see a few on your list I haven’t watched! I also love Notting Hill, 50 First Dates, 2 Weeks Notice, Sweet Home Alabama, Failure to Launch, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.
Those are all good ones, too! I wish romcom movies were as popular today as they were back when all these amazing ones were released. I miss having new ones to see!
Oh, I totally HATE the Steve Martin remake of Father of the Bride. The original with Spencer Tracey was just PERFECT!
I love rom coms and have seen most of these! I’ve somehow never seen The Holiday, though.
My fave is probably 13 Going on 30
Oh wow, I wish I could watch The Holiday again for the first time! It’s probably my favorite from the entire list.
13 Going On 30 is so cute. I love that one, too!
The top row are all on my list! On the bottom row I do love Father of the Bride, although I feel it is more family than romantic comedy in a way. And I do like Legally Blonde! Great picks!
You’re right, Father of the Bride is probably more family than rom com. I added it because it was one of my favorite movies as a little girl, and I thought Annie’s romance with her fiance and the pretty wedding were so romantic and swoony to me that I’ve always thought of it as romance!
