I like this topic because I like making goals. My to-read list is full of books by both popular and lesser-known authors that I’ve been wanting to read for a while but haven’t yet. So today I get to share that excitement and maybe some of you can hold me accountable!

I haven’t read anything by Beth yet! However her books do look and sound fun.
I’ve read a few of Kate Morton’s books and loved them all. I hope you do too!
I’m not normally a historical fan but absolutely love Lauren Willig’s Pink Carnation series.
Mhairi McFarlane – loved “If I Never Met You” and “Don’t You Forget About Me”, but some of the others have been less impressive. It seems that the newer the book, the better it is.
Beth O’Leary – love, love, love “The Flatshare”, but give “The Roadtrip” a miss. It’s SO bleak and depressing :-/
I haven’t heard of any of your authors but I’m sure you know about them as we all do with the ones we always want to read. I’m looking forward to seeing how you like them.
I chose Nobel Prize winners this week.
Those are all new to me ones as well! This topic had me cringing at myself that I still have so many authors I still need to read but haven’t gotten to yet!

Yep, I forgot to add Beth O’Leary to my list! She is one I keep saying I am going to read but haven’t gotten to yet.
Kate Morton has been a favorite of mine for years! I hope you love her books. Abby Jimenez is also a new favorite.
Oooh, I want to read that Sherry Thomas series, too! (But I haven’t yet, either…) I hope you enjoy the books you read by these authors when you get to them!

Beth O’Leary is one I want to read. The Flat Share has been on my list for a while.

Jiminez is on my list today, too! I have read and loved several of Morton’s books. They’re a little slow for me to get into, but once I’m in I’m in love. I haven’t read Willig’s books, but I have read a couple she wrote with White and Williams. They were good, so I would recommend them. I hope you love all of these authors when you get to them.
Oh the Pink Carnation series is such a fun romp–and a good way to spend post Bridgerton viewing time!
Kate Morton made my “honorable mention” list… and Lauren Willig and Julia London probably should have. I enjoyed the first Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas, and need to catch up with the rest of the series.
I love Mhairi McFarlane and Beth O’Leary, especially The Flatshare. Abby Jimenez’ Happy Ever After Playlist didn’t work for me at all, but I know I’m an exception. I think I just don’t like romances about celebrities (except You Had Me at Hola). Sherry Thomas has a lot of great books. Enjoy!
Same for Beth O’Leary. And Kate Morton’s a great pick, as she’s on MY personal “why have I only read one??” list four years after reading The Lake House.

I have heard great things about Abby Jimenez but haven’t given her a chance yet! I think this might have been the push I needed to finally dive into the Friend Zone series …. Looks like a lot of your readers would agree! Thanks for creating this list. I am currently HOOKED to the Morgan’s Run contemporary romance series by M. Lee Prescott (https://mleeprescott.com/). This is an indie author that definitely needs to get more love because these books are fantastic! They are also fantastic because the books can be read on their own but ….I promise…once you read one, you’ll want to read them all. I just finished “Tom’s Ride” and I have been daydreaming about Tom Jacobi all week. I love this series because there is a strong focus on community and family and good people who work hard are rewarded rather than punished (although they do usually have to go through some twists and turns to get to their happy endings). For example, Tom, has just gone through a terrible divorce (it needs to be said he is a great guy with a BIG heart) and he decides to get a job (out of town) at Valley Stables. His new life brings him to Grace, another person with a heart of gold, who is taking care of her ailing father and trying to keep the family business going. Their struggles lead them to each other and the book provides a great balance of loving nurturing support and some racy & risqué scenes too. Highly highly recommend!
