Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic was submitted by Nicole @ BookWyrm Knits, and focuses on indie books! What’s an indie book? Well, it’s a book published by a small press not affiliated with one of the “Big 5” traditional publishers: Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, Harper Collins, Simon and Schuster, and Macmillan. The term “indie publishing” is often used interchangeably with the term “self publishing”, so I’m counting those for this week’s topic as well! I love supporting indie authors, so I was delighted to see the request that we highlight indie books this week. I’m sharing 5 indie titles that I loved, and 5 that are on my to-read list.
Indies I Loved

1. First to Fall by Jenny B. Jones
2. My Phony Valentine by Courtney Walsh
3. The Portrait by Emilia Kelly
4. Faking Christmas by Cindy Steele
5. Take Me Back by Meghan March
Indies I Want to Read

6. Three Strikes and You’re Mine by R.S. Grey
7. Let Love In by Marie Soleil
8. Cruiseshipped by Savannah Scott
9. Darkwind by Renee Dugan
10. The Make Up by Hailey Gardiner
Tell me some indie titles you love or are excited to read!

I am not much of a self-published/indie kinda gal. Guess it is because I use the library and don’t accept preview books. Your choices look good.
Really interesting to see how many people struggle to learn about or access self-published books or books published by small presses because they may not be stocked by libraries, don’t appear on NetGalley, are likely to be digital only, etc.
OOh nice! All new to me ones here! Though the cover for Darkwind caught my eye! Hope you enjoy these 5 once you get to read them!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Well, I learned more about what an “Indie” author is! I thought it was anyone not associated with a traditional press…so I could have highlighted more of my favorites :) I want to try Savannah Scott as well. I haven’t read Cindy Steel but she is also on my TBR. Great topic for today!
I loved Take Me Back. That was a great read. I hope you get to read and love the other 5.
I haven’t read Courtney’s or Jenny’s yet, but both are titles I’d like to read at some point! They sound like grand reads. :)
Great list! I love how there’s great indie books in every genre. I haven’t read any of these yet, but I’ll have to look into them! They look cute!
I have not read any of these authors. Thanks so much for sharing!
THE PORTRAIT is one I want to read as well!
Happy TTT!
