I love this topic because it gives me the opportunity to highlight books that got lost under the pile of all the new releases and trending titles. I’ve done my best to research some of these and find the correct publication year and the original cover, but it was tricky for some of them! Look at these retro covers! I’m curious to see what books are on your list this week!

I’m super curious if any of these have aged well. lol.
Maybe that’s why I haven’t read them yet!

This is such a fun topic! And I should have found the “vintage” covers for all of my picks too. :) That would have been fun to see.
Victoria Holt is such a classic. I read a few of her books when I was younger as I found them in the book shelf of my grandfather of all places. Haha. I would definitely read your reviews on all of these, as I’m definitely not only interested in new new books!

I remember reading a Victoria Holt book as a teen because my mom loved them, so I really should give them a try again! I love reviewing books nobody else is talking about. Maybe this should be one of my goals for 2025!
I really love vintage covers, especially the historical romance ones! They’re so detailed!
Oh wow! Those are all new to me ones. Using Goodreads I found out that my oldest books are mainly from the early 2000s with a few that are older. Some didn’t have dates so I don’t even know if they could’ve been older!

Once upon a time a read that Mary Higgins Clark book but I don’t remember a thing about it. I recently read Where are the Children again and while I thought it was well-written when I read it back in the day, it seemed to lack now.
I loved MHC as a teen, but I also read Where Are the Children? recently so I could read the sequel, and it didn’t do as much for me as her books once did. I’ll always go back to her books because they’re comfortable and nostalgic, but they don’t hit me the same anymore unfortunately!
I love the retro covers! I think I may have read the Lisa Kleypas book. I’ll have to look at it closer look into that.
I love Lisa Kleypas, but I’ve tried reading some of her older titles and they didn’t work for me! I hope this one is good!
All these books are younger than me, so I hope they aged well, especially Mary Higgins Clark, lol
Many of the them are younger than I am, too, so I agree with you!! lol. I love MHC. I’m actually amazed I was able to find a book of hers I haven’t read yet!

The couple of books I’ve read by Barbara Bretton were very cozy. They might be perfect to read now! I do hope you enjoy her work whenever you decide to pick it up.

I am nearly positive Fabio is here. lol. I love vintage romance covers! They’re either stunning or cringey. There is no in-between and I love them all. LOL
Great list! I read A TON of Victoria Holt and MHC when I was a teen and young adult. They were my favorite authors back in the day :)

I read a ton of MHC as a teen and frequently re-visit her books when I need a comfort read! I actually own every single one of her books in paperback and they make me happy! I’ve only read one Victoria Holt. My mom loved her books, and I’m excited to get to more of them!

I’m so glad you had time to participate in this one; I knew I’d get to see some fabulous oil-painting romance covers on your list this week! I particularly love Across A Wine-Dark Sea. That man is truly wearing nothing but some artfully draped cloth that would hide nothing if he moved an inch, huh. 😂
LOL. I spent way too much time researching old romance novel covers while writing up my list for this prompt and it was time well spent, I say! Yes, that man on the cover of Across A Wine-Dark Sea is in a very precarious position at this moment and he is clearly fine with it. lolololol
