Happy December, and welcome to another TTT! I think I’ve drilled it into your head at this point, but I love Christmas. A lot. That’s why the first TTT in December is always a freebie topic. I want to have a super festive topic, but since not everyone celebrates Christmas or loves it as much as I do, I don’t want to make it a topic everyone does. So take this week to write about a topic you love! I love Christmas historical romances a lot. I honestly think they’re my favorite Christmas romances to read. I find them to be so cozy and festive. Today I’m sharing some of my favorites, and some I hope to read this month! I’m excited to see what topic you choose to write about today!

The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss (delightfully British, and one of my favorite audios ever)
Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison (a MUST)
Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh (acquaintances on a plane to friends on a plane as they travel home for Christmas on the same flight every year. And then they turn to lovers when they get stranded!)
Faking Christmas by Cindy Steele (sooooo swoony, no spice)
The Christmas Dress by Courtney Cole (so sweet and lovely that it made me ache)

Historical Christmas romances are just so, so cozy. I love them more and more as the years go by.
Ooh nice topic and picks! I don’t do much holiday reading myself. It seems my favorite authors rarely write a holiday novel. If a holiday happens to occur in the story, it’s not a central focus point. It’s just there and done. I did read a collection or two of short stories/novellas that were holiday related. That was years ago though. I think the latest short story collections I want to read involve dark fairy tale spins, so still no holidays! Lol. I went with an easy route this week even though it didn’t have to be holiday related, I wanted to get as close as possible to them! Lol.

It’s all Christmas books for me, all the time from November 1 through New Year’s Eve! I’ve been spoiled by my favorite authors with many great Christmas books, but I also go hunting for stories regardless of the author and have found some new favorites that way, too! I like your red and green list this week! I’m always a fan of festive topics. :)
Holiday romances are almost a tie with Amish romance as my favorite to read. They are only falling slightly behind.
A Wallflower Christmas is a wonderful book. I also really enjoyed How the Dukes Stole Christmas. I haven’t read any historical romance lately so no recommendations.
Ohhhh I would love some Amish romance recommendations! I’ve never read one, but would love to!

The Mistletoe Countess by Pepper Basham is a historical fiction romance, that I love. I have not read Under the Texas Mistletoe by Karen Witemeyer yet, but hope to this year, it’s also historical fiction. One more, A Christmas Courtship by Shelley Shepard Gray…I am with you, there are not a ton of Historical fiction reads…
The Mistletoe Countess is super cheap on Audible right now (less than $4), so I just bought it based on your recommendation! I can’t wait to read it! It sounds lovely. I don’t read a ton of romance or historical romance, but last year a friend told me about these Christmas regency romance collections she always read at Christmas and I decided to pick up one of the collections. I thought I’d hate them because — again — I don’t read a ton of romance (more mysteries) but I ended up feeling so cozy while reading them! I only made it through the first two novellas before Christmas came and got distracted with another mystery so this year I am reading the other three novellas in the collection. Carla Kelley wrote one of the novellas but I haven’t reached that one yet. It’s the last one in the book.

It is called Regency Christmas Wishes and it has a photo of a woman knocking on a door on it. I found it on Thriftbooks. It looks like there is another version out now with a couple on the front. I think a few of the author’s republished it but looks like a couple of the other novellas got dropped.
Great topic–and such pretty covers! I’m going to order a few of these as an early Christmas for my Mom’s kindle!
