Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is Authors (or books by authors) Who Live In My State/Country and was submitted by Jennifer @ Funk-N-Fiction! I chose to feature ten Utah authors whose books I’ve read and enjoyed! We have a LOT of authors here. I chose the ones like best, but I’ve read books by many more! The one single asterisk below indicates which author I’ve met!
1. Christina Hobbs, half of Christina Lauren
2. Shannon Hale
3. Ally Condie
4. Kasey Stockton
5. Louise Plummer
6. Brandon Sanderson*
7. Lisa Mangum
8. Joanna Barker
9. Martha Keyes
10. Becca Wilhite
Which authors live where you live? Have you met any of them?

This was a fun topic! Though I went with books set in my state. :)
I wanted to do that, but could only think of one book set in Utah! I know I’ve read more of them, but my mind couldn’t conjure up the titles!
Interesting topic.
Thanks!
I’m in several book clubs with a woman who is casual friends with Brandon Sanderson. She has not read anything he’s written though. Have a great week.
That’s cool! Brandon Sanderson is very nice tends to hang out in bookshops. It’s hard not to meet him if you love books around here. lol.
What state doe you live in? Hey, give your state a little shoutout.
Thanks for adding it, or I see it now…Utah!
Yes! It was there all along, but I can see how it might be easy to miss!
I want to read a Christina Lauren book. There were just so many Authors from England that I went classic for most of mine 🤣 and hopefully ones that people have heard of.
Have a great week!
Christina Lauren books are some of my favorites!
I love a lot of authors from England! I just looked over your list, and you picked a lot of great ones!
I see them everywhere and keep meaning to make time for them.
Thank you. I tried to go for names that people would recognise! I was spoilt for choice!
Ooh nice! I couldn’t find too many authors who live in my state that I read. I know of more who live here somewhere but they usually write outside my genres. But I did find quite a few books that mention St. Louis which was fun! Lol.
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
That is fun! I like the idea of finding books that mention a certain place. Might have to do that for a future topic!
I totally stole your idea of putting an asterisk by the ones you have met, LOL! I struggled to get to 10 authors from Ohio, I am sure there are, I just don’t know of them. Have a great week!
You are so lucky to have met Brandon Sanderson! One author living in Utah that I love is Amy Harmon.
Utah has become such a hub for books/writing over the years! It wasn’t like that when I lived there. I’ve read at least one book from the majority of the authors on your list. Sanderson is my favorite of the bunch.
Happy TTT!

I really enjoyed this. I often include German books (that have been translated) in my lists but this time, I could just show so many of them. And I already had lots of comments from people who said they were often looking for foreign books and loved it. So, thanks for the idea. Great topic.
This was a fun prompt! Of your list, I have only read Shannon Hale, though I’m familiar with Sanderson because of the Writing Excuses podcast. I would add to your list Jessica Day George.
