The Christmas Songs Book Tag has become a pretty popular feature on my blog each year as part of A Bookish Little Christmas! I created this tag in 2015 and bring it back each year for people to participate in. Because I do this every year, I am limiting my choices to books I’ve read in 2025. I’m also trying to only use one book one time. You can do whatever you would like. :)
1. “All I Want for Christmas Is You”: Favorite bookish couple.
Nolan and Harriet from Good Spirits by B.K. Borison.
2. “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”: Name a book where a character is away from home (school, vacation, etc.).
Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros totally counts since they’re all away at Basgiath or flying everywhere.
3. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”: Name your favorite “little” book (children’s book, short story, novella, etc.).
Desert Island Duke by Kate Bateman. This is a stupendous novella!
4. “Santa Claus is Coming to Town“: What book(s) do you hope Santa brings you this year?
Alchemy of Secrets by Stephanie Garber.
5. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”: Which book turned your nose red (made you cry)?
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross. Stunning story, but it tugs at the heartstrings!
6. “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”: Your favorite book/kind of book to read during the holidays.
I love reading Christmas romances this time of year! So far my favorite one this year is Snowed In by Catherine Walsh.
7. “We Three Kings”: Your favorite trilogy/book from a trilogy (or feel free to fudge it and pick a book from a series).
Never Gamble Your Heart by Lindsay Lovise is book two in a trilogy (the third book is out next month) that I really love!
8. “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow”: A character you would love to be snowed in with.
Cole from Acting Merry by Martha Keyes. I looooove him.
9. “Last Christmas”: A book that seriously let you down.
The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst was a DNF for me after ADORING The Spellshop and raving about it last year! The magic and whimsy was lost with this book, and I was so bored. I really hope Sea of Charms brings back the things I missed from this one. I’m still really excited about that one!
10. “White Christmas”: An upcoming release you’re dreaming about.
Light Wielder by Rachel Schneider. I’m so excited!

Okay, I will try to squeeze it in! You liked it more than Faking Christmas? I loved that one!
It’s a quick read at just over 200 pages, so I bet you can do it! I read Faking Christmas two years ago, so it can’t count as one of my favorites I read this year! I need to re-read that one soon because I can’t remember everything about it anymore! Acting Merry is going on my all-time favorites list right along with Faking Christmas, though, so I think you’ll love it too!
