Top Ten Books Set In Places on My Bucket List

Posted April 6, 2026 by Jana in About Me, Top Ten Tuesday / 14 Comments

Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is: Books About/Set In Places on My Bucket List and was submitted by Rachel @ Sunny Side. This topic is made for me! I love traveling, and my bucket list of places I’d like to visit it extremely long (I had to limit myself to these ten because I could have kept going). I’ve been to many amazing places, and will be excluding those from my list this week even though I’d love to return to all of them someday! This list is a mix of older and newer titles (some are even upcoming releases). I’ll put an asterisk by the ones I’ve read. All the others are from my TBR!

Egypt
The Promise of a Kiss by K.C. Bateman* (5 stars)

The Galápagos Islands
Shipped by Angie Hockman* (2 stars)

Ireland
Road Trip by Mary Kay Andrews

Greece
A Perfect Story by Elísabet Benavent

Finnish Lapland
Christmas at Frozen Falls by Kiley Dunbar* (5-star favorite)

Scotland
Scot and Bothered by Alexandra Kiley

Copenhagen, Denmark
The Floating Copenhagen Café by Annabel French

Iceland
The Northern Lights Lodge by Julie Caplin

Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm Diaries, Caroline, by Rebecca Hunter

Turkey
Troy Story by Carla Luna

Have you been to any of these places? Read any of these books?
What location is at the very tippy top of your bucket list?

  1. Ooh nice picks! Ironically, I struggled with this one! Lol. I read a lot of fantasy and paranormal books so either it’s a place that doesn’t exist or it’s a place that doesn’t really give you an idea of what it is. I couldn’t really think of ones since location doesn’t get emphasized a lot.

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. Great list Jana. I have to try that Julie Caplan series, I’ve heard good things about it. I have been to Scotland, Ireland and Greece, but they are all places I want to go back to as I didn’t spend enough time there.

  3. Veros @ Dark Shelf of Wonders

I have been wanting to go to Lapland for yearsss (since I was in high school) , I did go to Finland for my Honeymoon but not to Lapland specifically. I’ve also had the pleasure of visiting Egypt, Ireland, and Scotland from your list. But there are a bunch of places from your bucket list that I want to go to too! :D

  4. Great list of destinations! Scotland and Ireland are at the very top of my list, I’ll check out your books for them! Have a great rest of your week!
