Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic is: Top Ten Books I Want to Read by New to Me Authors. I’m sharing ten books I’m super excited to read that are written by authors I’ve never read before. There were soooooo many to choose from! I love discovering new authors, especially when they have a huge backlist of titles to read. Do you agree? Anyway, here are my picks!

The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love by India Holton
Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune
Love’s a Witch by Tricia O’Malley
Trial of the Sun Queen by Nisha J. Tuli
Some Like It Scot by Pepper Basham
Don’t Let Your Dukes Grow Up to Be Scoundrels by Louisa Darling
The English Masterpiece by Katherine Reay
Off the Beaten Path by Madison Wright
Since We’ve No Place to Go by Kate Watson
The Gentleman’s Confession by Anneka R. Walker
Have you read any of these books? If so, are they good choices for my first book by that author(s)?

I almost put Carley Fortune on my list too – I’ve never read her but the cover on that one is so stunning I had to add it to my TBR
I love finding new-to-me authors. I, also, put a Carley Fortune book on my list. I put a different one, but they all look good.
This looks like a fun batch of books.
I am just reading the Louisa Darling book on audio. Just in the early stages, it seems to be a bit of romcom/historical romance but will have to listen to more to see. But whatever, I totally love the cover.
Sooo many! I could’ve put any of these on my list too!
Thanks for sharing and hosting!
So many new to me authors! I love this week’s prompt… altho, it’s going to totally ruin my TBR pile that I just got down to a manageable size.
I haven’t read any by any of these authors either although I keep meaning to try Carley Fortune. Happy TTT! 💕📚
Ooh nice! These are all new to me authors too! I hope you find some new favorites among them once you get to read these books!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Your book choices all have such pretty covers! I think it must be the romance genre.
These look good. Enjoy them when you get to them!
I can’t believe you haven’t read Pepper Basham or Kate Watson yet, you are going to love them both!! Have a great week!
I haven’t read any of these. I hope they are great discoveries when you get to them
I enjoyed Love’s a Witch, and want to read Some Like it Scot too! Great picks! I went back to a past topic I didn’t get to for this week, because I couldn’t decide if I wanted to do new to me authors or debut authors and so just switched.
I’ve enjoyed other books by Pepper Basham and Katherine Reay and really enjoyed them — hope you like the two of theirs you have listed here!
I loved The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love and Off the Beaten Path. Some Like it Scot, too! They are such fun reads. You’re in for a treat. :D
Some Like it Scot by Pepper Basham is a fantastic place to start with her stories! She’s a fav author and a fantastic human.
I’ve read several books by Katherine Reay but not her latest, The English Masterpiece. I am sure it is enjoyable! Two of hers that I dearly love are A Portrait of Emily Price and Dear Mr. Knightley (which is in epistolary format!).
Happy reading!
Ohh I really want to read India Holton’s books, I could have added her to my list as well! I’ve read a book by Tricia O’Malley and really enjoyed it so I hope you like Love’s A Witch, it sounds fun! And the rest of the authors are all ones I’ve never heard of before! I love discovering new authors as well! :)
I enjoyed both Meet Me at the Lake and Trial of the Sun Queen.

The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love by India Holton Was a little too mellow and slow for me. I hope you‘ll enjoy it more than I did!
Love’s a Witch was fun. The India Holton book was a bit too madcap for my mood when I tried to read it, but I should try again when I’m in a lighter mood. I could tell I would love it at the right moment. The only other book on your list that I have even seen is Some Like it Scot, which I think is on my TBR list somewhere. I hope you get a chance to read all of these, and they live up to your expectations!
I haven’t read any of these books or authors, but I do love discovering new authors, with a huge backlist of titles to read! Happy new author reading! 😊
Oooh I’ve been meaning to read Some Like It Scot! I hope you like all of these books and authors!!
I am once again pitching for India Holton; that book is SO FUN! It was my first by her and it turned her into an instant favorite author, if that helps.
I haven’t read any of the others but Pepper Basham has been on my radar as well — I’ve been looking at either Authentically Izzy for contemp, or the My Heart Belongs in the Blue Ridge series for historical.
So many wonderful authors, so little time! I hope you enjoy these!
